Valerie Wilson Wesley (nata il 22 novembre 1947) è un'autrice americana di gialli, romanzi per adulti e libri per bambini ed ex redattore esecutivo della rivista Essence. È l'autrice della serie misteriosa di Tamara Hayle. I suoi scritti, sia di narrativa che di saggistica, sono apparsi anche in numerose pubblicazioni, tra cui Essence, Family Circle, TV Guide, Ms., The New York Times e il settimanale svizzero Die Weltwoche. == Background == Wesley è cresciuto ad Ashford, nel Connecticut.
